I started my jewellery career in 1978 excited and daunted in equal measures.
I worked in Carlisle city centre as a jobbing jeweller starting a 6 year apprenticeship in jewellery repairs then after completing my apprenticeship in 1984 I continued working for the same company until 2003.
After working for 25 years in jewellery repairs I wanted to expand my skills and knowledge at the bench by learning the skills of jewellery manufacturing.
I was offered a position at a jewellery manufacturer just outside Carlisle and expanded my abilities at the bench over the next 15 years.
In 2016 I became an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths and 1 year later I decided to open JOCAULE JEWELLERY WORKSHOP designing and manufacturing my own pieces of jewellery in our workshop and showroom here at Moorhouse.
Our Workshop is open three days a week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
Appointments can be made to discuss sales, commissions or repairs at any other time outside of opening hours by arrangement
